Absolutely anyone can join OpenCircle—even if you're brand new to crypto. Follow these simple steps and you'll be part of our DAO in minutes.

Step 1: Create a Free Crypto Wallet (If You Don't Have One)

• Download MetaMask or Coinbase Wallet.
• Follow in-app instructions to create your wallet.
• Important: Write down your secret recovery phrase and keep it safe (never share it with anyone).

Step 2: Get Your Wallet Address Ready

• Open your wallet app or extension.
• Make sure the Polygon network is selected (in MetaMask: "Add network" → search for “Polygon” or enter Chain ID 137).
• Click your account/address (starts with “0x…”) and copy it.

Step 3: Claim Your Free OCL Tokens

• Share your wallet address in our Discord #onboarding channel or DM it to an admin.
• Or email it to [email protected] with the subject “Claim OCL”.

Step 4: Wait for Your Welcome OCL

• The OpenCircle team will send OCL tokens to your wallet address (completely free—there’s no catch!).
• You’ll see OCL appear in your wallet once the transaction is complete (usually within a few minutes).
